Emory University / Tuft House / Psychology Administration Building
The three-story, Tuft House was built in 1917 by the
UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA / TATE CENTER/ JITTERY JOE’S COFFEE SHOP
HEI renovated an existing Jittery Joe’s coffee shop located in the Tate Center at UGA. HEI removed and replaced an existing sliding steel security partition, installed a structural steel beam anchored to the slab above, for support of the new roll-up steel grille partition. HEI upgraded the base cabinetry with new cherry veneer and stone counters. Finishes also included: installation of a radius acoustical ceiling grid and tile, rework of drywall columns and pilasters and relocation of downlight fixtures. All work was performed over Spring break.
