HEI worked with the Emory Conference Center Hotel to convert an existing bellhop area into a revenue generating beverage retail facility for the hotel patrons. A compact and complex appliance layout evolved around coring into the existing post tensioned slab, while maintaining a fully operational hotel kitchen, located directly below the coffee shop. The onsite management of dust, sound and vibration transmission was critical to the hotel’s operation and the project’s success. A new Bellhop Facility and Sundries Shop were constructed simultaneously, while completing construction on the Coffee Shop.
